@BandDmommy: it's true- but the 2 year old will be around her plenty. And I worry about spit up or blow outs. But that's still true, toddlers are much harder.

@Foodnerd81: I actually felt like she looked "bad" in everything b/c everything was so huge on her haha! Like, it's cuter when they're plump and "fills out" the clothes better. But then again, you can't beat a newborn squish's cuteness

@snowjewelz: so cute! I ordered these Pjs for her already- almost exactly the same, so I love seeing how cute they are on a squishy newborn!

@Pirouette: 12/16 would be fine- due date is the 17th.

@Foodnerd81: yea, they don't stretch their legs really at first, right? until they start doing tummy time and stuff? I remember it being hard to even accurately measure length, so i'd think anything tight fitting like that would be really hard!

I predict she's gonna be born on my LO's birthday (16th) :)

@lovehoneybee: Gymboree outlet. They had a few coordinating infant and toddler styles.

@Pirouette: I mean I could still be pregnant at Christmas! Just because I think/hope she will be a little early doesn't mean she will be. But c was 8 lbs and change at birth right before due date so I assume this one will be a decent size. Still, tights are probably a stretch.

@Foodnerd81: haha well LO was only 5.5 lbs. it would've been a challenge even finding tights! that whole xmas was a blur for me, but I just looked through pics and we got exactly 1 of her in that dress! of course, it's different with kid #2, and we had been in the hospital until a few days before (c section), so it was a crazy adjustment period for us.

@rattles: yeah I love that they coordinate. C says she wants to match her baby sister too (I *may* have out the idea in her head).

@Pirouette: I'm so used to dressing a toddler who helps me dress her and picks out her clothes- I think I'm way underestimating how fragile newborns feel when you dress them. Like I'm looking at tights- but I recall tights being way too much to deal with when c was under 3 months.

I love those outfits! LO was born a week before xmas, and we weren't ready to put anything but a sleeper on her (i mean, it was my 1st kid, i was terrified her head would fall off if i tried to slip something over her head! :silly: ) so I got an all white sleeper and she put a dress on over it that just slipped on. Then she pooped and it was a huge pain but we put it back on...and she pooped again. and she just wore the sleeper the rest of the night. So I definitely dig the sleeper for a newborn idea! or get her a dress but only put it on for a few quick pics with her sister!

I did buy them these outfits yesterday, but will probably put them on for Christmas Eve. I think I want something more festive or dressy for the toddler at least for Christmas.

Baby 2 is due one week before Christmas and I'm borderline obsessed with getting her and big sister Christmas outfits. I know I want them to coordinate, but don't have to match. Deciding if I should go comfy cozy, like just a sleeper, or go a bit fancier since its Christmas. I kind of forget just how squishy a newbie is!

What did you teeny LO wear for their first holiday?

Eta: we aren't really doing much for Christmas. Mil and BIL will be in town and we'll probably just order in- I'm not cooking and probably not going out anywhere nice a week after she is born- if she is even born by then (please don't be a week late baby!!)
