I paid an extra $10 or $12 to get our last name embroidered on the back. I also got him a few small teething toys to put in his stocking, and an Angel Dear blanket that I've already given him. </p> <p>We also got him a personalized stocking (from West Elm) and ornament (from etsy). </p> <p>I think that's it. We didn't spend a lot. It's a puppy-shaped guitar he actually saw in an advertisement in Parents magazine MONTHS ago. I can't wait to see the look on his face when he opens it.</p> <p>We also got a bunch of stocking stuffers: a new hat and mittens (yearly tradition), a plastic recorder (the instrument), a rainbow umbrella (another thing he's been asking for), and a few more small toys and some fruit snacks. </p> <p>We'll probably wrap up a few things we have in the house for LMW (like new clothes that don't fit her yet, some hairbows, etc) so that WJ can see that Santa brought her presents too. Last year we just gave him one small gift. This year I went a little overboard because I didn't get Olive anything for her birthday or her first Christmas. This is what we got:</p> <p>Charlie: </p> <p>- screw/drill set (was for his bday but saved it for christmas instead since he got gifts from other people)<br /> - play dishes &amp; tea set from ikea<br /> - thomas the train puzzle<br /> - wooden abc block puzzle<br /> - wooden number/clock puzzle</p> <p>Olive:<br /> - wood rainbow blocks<br /> - wood car<br /> - wood camera<br /> - kid-o car </p> <p>Everything came in under $200, which isn't that bad considering they didn't get anything for their birthdays.
