@FaithFertility: Thanks! My GYN said something similar, and though we didn't expect it to take this long, I am still totally confident that I will be able to get pregnant eventually.

You all pretty much called it. I had my day 3 bloodwork drawn earlier this week, my HSG is scheduled for next week, and DH has a referral for SA. Once all of that is back, I will go in to talk to my GYN about the results and where we'll go from here.

Thanks, ladies! I did have the internal and external ultrasound back in June, and bloodwork, though I'm not sure exactly what tests were run. I think thyroid, and . . . ? I have NOT had any specific cycle-day blood work, so I will ask about that.

I am trying to gather as much information as I can because there are three GYNs in the practice, and I am seeing a different one than I did back in the summer, so I want to have my ducks in a row in case they are not on quite the same page.

I was with my OB and we did HSG, SA, CD21. I think that was it. I pushed for thyroid testing later, but I'm sure that she missed some other testing. Unfortunately, it didn't work for me. Good luck! :goodluck:

I had an internal and external ultrasound (it's been so long I can't even remember what they were looking for, I think cyst and fibroids), HSG, seman analysis, CD 3, 10, 7dpo, thyroid level blood work done prior to trying Clomid. I also had long cycles so doctors (and I) were not hesitant to move along and try something, anything to get me to ovulate sooner.

We had the normal IF work up done first - CD3 blood work and u/s, CD21 (post-O) blood work, HSG, SA. I think that's it? We waited for the results of all of those to come back before moving forward with anything.

As in, what steps did your doctor want you to take before making the jump to medications? When I saw my GYN six months ago (for amenorrhea) she mentioned semen analysis before moving on to Clomid. I already had an ultrasound to take a look at things back in the summer. Did your GYN/RE want you try anything else before ovulation stimulating drugs?

I have my "we've been trying for more than a year, now what?" appointment this Friday. Any suggestions for questions I might not think to ask?
