My problem is, my third tri nausea is what keeps me awake. so I can't really do anything productive either, just lie there/sit there and feel like shit. A few times I have taken a half a unisom and that helps the nausea and knocks me out. I did it last night and feel like a new person this morning!

HB surfing, etsy shopping, staring at my sleeping DH, tossing, turning, moaning because I was so dang uncomfortable.....but in the end the thing that worked to put me back to sleep was Undercover Boss. I'd konk out in like five minutes if I put that show on. Any other show was too interesting, but I guess I just find Undercover Boss to be a snoozefest.

@BeachMama: My OB prescribed Ambien to me around 34-35 weeks because I was a total wreck- I couldn't seem to sleep more than 2 hours at a time, and couldn't get to sleep, and I was a total depressed mess.

Oh, when my lips blew up earlier this week the doctor's office told me I could take a Benadryl. It helped me get 3-4 hours of sleep both nights I took it.

Toss and turn, read HB, laid there, folded laundry, wrote emails, read a book. I honestly got more sleep once DD arrived than in the months leading up to it.

@grizz: I usually do music. I bought some of those "spa" music CDs at Target and that's what we use. Sometimes if I'm exhausted during the day but can't sleep I'll listen to white noise and that helps me relax and get some sleep, but it takes forever. I'm not a super huge fan of white noise.

We do our Bradley relaxation techniques right before bedtime. I also use doTerra lavender essential oil on my feet and back of my neck...knocks me right out. I do wake up around 4-5am cause baby girl thinks it's a good time to get her workout, but it's a lot better than being awake for HOURS which is what used to happen. Once she settles down I usually can squeeze in a few more hours. Now that I'm almost 39 weeks though, I'm starting to get those bursts of energy in the middle of the night and all I can do is clean, clean, clean during that time.

@grizz: Sounds like fun times! Exhaustion has hit me so bad the last couple of weeks... I can barely manage to be on my feet longer than a couple hours and most afternoons my eyes start getting that burning feeling I'm so tired. I think I could actually sleep forever!! If you have insomnia at night, that's probably my morning so come chat on here!

I get angry! haha, but really, it's been an on and off problem through the whole pregnancy and I have no good solutions. It's transitioned now from being unable to fall asleep, sometimes for hours, to waking every 1.5 hours or so. I prefer it this way actually. I try to stay away from my phone because of the light, but will sometimes read, or move to the other room/couch. Sometimes a change of venue helps.

Third trimester insomnia has hit me big time! I seem to wake up at all hours for no reason. I try everything to go back to sleep but end up messing around on my phone for hours. Its either that or eat something.
Last night DH came home on lunch (he works nights) and did my Bradley Method and HypnoBabies relaxation exercises with me... knocked me right out! Maybe that's a good time for me to practice? :)

What did/do you do?
