When it was time to push, one of the first things I said was, "YES! BURGER TIME SOON!" My hospital pushed food on me right away. It was from the room where they had the ice chips. My husband visited that room a few times during the night. My husband also pushed it on me, but I was way too nauseous to eat anything significant for a few hours later. </p> <p>Our first guests that day brought us Jimmy John's. It was so good. The next night, I had crappy hospital food. Their's is supposed to be good, but I didn't like the chicken pot pie. On the way home from the hospital, we stopped at Portillo's. I had a chicken cheddar croissant. It seriously was the best thing I ever ate post delivery. It was like 1am and there wasn't much open around where we were so I wasn't going to be picky. Luckily the cafe in the hospital has take-out food available 24/7 so he brought me back the most incredible turkey sandwich, I seriously don't think I've ever had a better sandwich.
