He loves them! He got a play kitchen for xmas when he was 18 months and he still loves that as well. We figured that she probably wouldn't remember a gift from us at this young of an age, and it would ensure many family zoo/aquarium dates throughout the year. She brought her stethoscope and checked my heart before the ped checked hers. Ha! I will say that @Foodnerd81:'s suggestion, the doctor kit, is a good one. My LO got hers around her 2nd birthday, and loves it. Still plays with it most days. Lego Duplo is awesome too. LO loves hers. It was just a small figure 8 set with a few engines but still played with at age 4+ ( we've gotten some more pieces in the meantime but it was a great age to start). You could do scooter or balance bike but I think of those as more for age 2.5+. She's still a little young for it but she'll grow into it.
