I know he would have looooved a surprise party, but it just wasn't practical. So instead I got him 24 presents, one to open on each hour of his birthday. Some were tiny (a fancy candy bar), and some were big - new snowboarding goggles and a Leatherman tool. Overall, it was a big hit. I also arranged for him to have a guys' night with his ten of his friends.
