@Silva: As long as LO is growing, I don't think there is any reason for you to worry! My DS happens to be obsessed with table foods. Most of our friends and family are surprised by how much he eats at this age so I think he's a little unusual in this way. I am actually worried that he's eating too much and not getting enough formula. I guess there is always reason to worry!

It's breakfast here again and she's had 2 red plums. I've given up offering bread since she hasn't touched it for days. However, she's munching on a corn waifer right now and letting me have my coffee warm while I HB

@Silva: Volume wise I think they would be eating about the same. I don't serve up massive meals, I only give her half a slice of sourdough but she does eat everything I give her, especially purees.

Table food wise she tries to eat it all but a lot ends up on the floor! She loves her food though, as everyone likes to tell me ;)

Am going to have to try hummus though.

@AprilFool: Yay! E's tastes sometimes change by the day, so I try to offer a food at least 5x, and if he's still refusing to eat it (or just throwing it on the ground), I'll give it a rest and try again in a few weeks.

Today he had:

Breakfast: Oatmeal with applesauce, craisins, milk and a tiny bit of brown sugar, with a bottle of milk.

Lunch: Pasta with butternut squash puree and peas, bottle of milk.

Snack: Cheese stick and applesauce pouch.

Dinner: Leftover chicken, white bean and spinach soup (maybe I should call it a chili or stew, it's pretty thick!), third bottle of milk.

@QueensBee: @AprilFool: Wow! Your 9 month olds are really out-eating mine....now I'm worried!

She had:
breakfast: some puffed kamut (like 5 pieces), half a clementine and maybe 2 ounces of applesauce?
lunch: 2 strawberries
dinner: 3 pieces of whole wheat penne in pesto, maybe one stalk of broccoli, and a few bites of chicken sausage.

she mostly just nibbles at things unless its a favorite (bread with hummus- she can put away a whole slice of bread, and still eat humus by the spoonful, or certain soups- she'll eat like 4ounces). Are your babes eating a lot or just taking bites of things?

My 2.5 year old ate the following today:

Breakfast: steel cut oats in almond milk with flax meal, pear, pineapple, and bacon
Lunch: leftovers - ground turkey with shrimp and Swiss chard patty with rice, roasted carrots and broccoli
Dinner: Italian sausage with brown rice noodles, corn (his request), Brussels sprouts, Korean potato side dish, and snow peas
Snacks: grapes, homemade granola

I tend to be an overachiever with meals these days and offer a lot of variety. It benefits us as a whole family, but man is it time consuming. Plus LO is allergic to cow's milk, eggs, and peanuts. I have to cook to accommodate for his allergies.
