At first it looked like it would work out ok, but my coworker put in her notice so now my boss is doing the work of three. I'm going to do a bit of WAHMing until she can hire a replacement. I feel really badly that my leave will affect the success of her company. She quit after 2 weeks because she hated it so much so they ended up moving all of my work to one of our regional offices until I came back. I can take up to one year off and hold my same position, up to 5 to keep my job in the district, but I wouldn't be able to choose where. My supervisor took on a bunch, it was funny to have to train her because she was like, "Why does this take so long?" Yes, now you know when you expect me to do something in 10 minutes that is not feasible. Luckily I left right before our slower summer period. It was challenging with my out, but I wouldn't say it was a significant hardship and nothing costly occurred. They were glad to have me back, though!!!
