DD is almost 11 months and I do 3 meals a day + nursing 4 times a day. I don't do any snacks of actual food... I guess I just consider the breastmilk a snack.

ETA: We are on a very similar routine to BabyBoyMom!

I only do snacks if he seems fussy. I don't want to feed him if he isn't hungry. But he nursed between meals so I'm not too worried.

@Adira: I am not going to worry about snacks till she isn't on formula anymore. She already eats about very two hours, no more time in the day.

We nurse 4-5 times a day around 7, 10, 2, (5), 7. Then we do three meals a day around 8:30, 1, and 6. Honestly B doesn't eat that much and trying to fit it snacks seems excessive. Unless you are pushing X to wean I would just let him tell you when he wants more food...

DD is almost 13 months old and I don't really worry about snacks either. She gets 3 meals and 4 bottles of WCM (should be sippy but I'm still working on that!). If we are out and about I might give her puffs or crackers in between meals but it's never a lot. I rather she just eat more during meal times.

At 11 months, LO was more or less on this schedule:
6/630 wake and nurse
8am breakfast
9am nap--nurse to sleep
sometimes nurse upon waking
12/1230pm lunch
2pm nap--nurse to sleep
sometimes nurse upon waking
sometimes small snack at around 330
5:30 dinner
7pm nurse before bed.

Since I was still nursing so much I didn't worry about snacks, and honestly, I still don't worry about snacks even though he's now only nursing 2x a day...I find that he eats his meals better if he's not snacking all day.

When we introduced whole milk, he hated it initially but now will sometimes drink a bit--I'll offer it during meals and around snack times.

J is turning 11 months on the 22nd… this is his current schedule:

6 am - wake and nurse
7 am - eat breakfast (eggs and fruit)
9:30-11 am - nap
11 am - wake and nurse (or breast milk from bottle)
12:30 pm - lunch (usually a protein, veggie, and fruit)
2:30-4 pm - nap #2
4 pm - wake and i replaced this feeding with a snack (breastmilk in a straw cup along with some fruit)
7 pm - nurse and sleep

eta: by next month, i'm probably going to drop his 11 am bottle and turn that into snack time with milk in a straw cup. then nurse only morning and night.

@Adira: just like @rattles: ; nursing first before a year, then solid first now that she's a year.

@rattles: Thanks!! That's what I was thinking, but I wasn't really sure.

@rattles: @oliviaoblivia: Once you hit a year and switched to WCM (or whatever milk you use), did you start serving milk with the meals and water with snacks? Or milk with everything? Or continue giving milk with snacks and water with meals?

@oliviaoblivia: My schedule looks a lot like this. @Adira: Before a year, I nursed first. After a year, I did solids first.

@oliviaoblivia: When you did the snacks with nursing - did you usually nurse first and then give the snack? Or the other way around? I'm assuming when you did milk in a bottle/sippy, you did that WITH the snack, right? I wasn't sure how nursing would work though.

Meal time was pretty much the whole day. LO is a slow eater so breakfast often ran into snack which ran into lunch. Seriously she takes like 40 minutes per meal. It drives me bonkers.

7am wake & nurse
8:15am breakfast (yogurt & fruit or oatmeal & fruit)
9:30am nap
11:00am wake
11:15 snack (cheese, crackers, fruit, sweet potato cubes) milk/nurse
1:00pm lunch (usually leftovers) & water
2:00pm nap
4:00pm wake
4:15pm snack (veggies, cheese, peanut butter toast) & milk/nurse
6:00pm dinner
7:30/8:00pm bath & bed

Our pediatrician has mentioned that by 12 months, she'd like Xander on 3 meals and 2 snacks. We've got the 3 meals down, but the two snacks... I'm not sure. Plus he's still nursing or taking bottles 4 times a day. How do you fit it all in?? Share your schedules with me, please!
