My first slept in the pack n play napper on the floor by the side of our bed for the first 4 months. Then she moved to her crib in her own room. By 1 year she was in our bed, and she's still there at 22 months. Our second is due in September, and we plan to use the pnp napper again, followed by cosleeping.

I liked that the napper was very slightly inclined, so baby felt cozy. But it wasn't so inclined that she had a hard time transitioning to a flat surface. My kid was (and is) a great night sleeper though, so I think she would have slept well wherever we put her.

She slept in the newborn bassinet of the Pack N Play then moved to the regular bassinet when she outgrew that one. She moved to her own room at about 4 months.

With both babies, I attempted to get them into a flat surface (PnP for LO1 and bassinet for LO2) from day 1. Unfortunately that didn't work out.

LO1 slept in a RnP for night sleep and swing for naps for a long time.

LO2 co-slept for the first week, then RnP for both night and naps for a few weeks, then in a Snuggle Me in his bassinet, then transition to just the bassinet by around 10 weeks.

Got both in their cribs by around 4.5 months.

We bed-shared for the first 3 weeks, then transitioned her to a co-sleeper that attaches to the bed.

This time, I'm too nervous to bed-share. Good experience for us the first time, but we'll all sleep much better and safer with LO2 in the co-sleeper from the beginning.

DD1 was in her crib at night starting at night #3. DD2 slept in her room in the RnP for about two weeks (I slept in there as well), and then in her crib afterward. I slept on the recliner (surprisingly comfy) in DD2's room for about a month. When we had DD1, her room was right next door and I didn't really need the monitor, but DD2's room is farther, and I was uncomfortable being too far away.

We attempted using a bassinet and I think that lasted 2-3 days? None of us were sleeping, at all. Moved her to her crib in her room and she started sleeping 2-3 hour stretches immediately. We were in a small apartment so her room was right next door and we left both doors open and had a monitor. I was perfectly comfortable with the setup. Expecting #2 now and we're in a largish house where the other 2 main floor bedrooms are on the opposite end of the house from ours. :( Can't decide what we should do for this one.

DD slept in a small cradle in our room for 3 weeks then went to her crib in her room. DS slept in bed with me for 6 weeks. I had a rough breech vaginal delivery and it was hard for me to get up or sit. I found it easier to just stay in bed and nurse. He went to his crib in his room at 6 weeks.

DD1 co-slept with me because that's the only way she'd sleep. DD2 is 6 weeks, and she's been in the Arms Reach co-sleeper since we brought her home. I like that it attaches to the bed.

We also have a pack n play and a rock and play, and she'll nap in both.

In a crib in our room. Then we moved the crib to their room when they (and we) were ready. I can see the twins sleeping in our room for quite a while longer than the other two did since we'll have to move DS1 and DD1 together so that DD2 and DS2 can move into DD1's room. I think it'll be January when DD1 turns 3 and the twins turn 1 when we make that move.

I guess we're oddballs but DS slept in the crib in his own room from day one. It's right next to our room so we don't even need the monitor although we use it now (9 mos) to see what he's up to. He was such a noisy newborn, I hated room sharing and this worked out because we never had to do any transitions. We used the RNP for some naps for the first 6 months. It was a good "last resort" if he was super fussy, teething or had a cold or whatever.

All 3 of ours have been in the bassinet set-up of our PNP in our room for something like 6-8w, then into the crib in their own room. Or at least that's the theoretical plan -- for at least the first 3-4w, there was a lot of sleeping on/with one of us in a chair (we took shifts) for a good chunk of the night, but we still tried to nap & start the night in the bassinet as much as possible.

I also had a dock-a-tot for LO3. You're only "supposed" to use it while co-sleeping, but we used it in the bassinet/crib too.

LO1 coslept. LO2 is on the crib mattress next to our floor bed. But it's only been 4 weeks. All naps for both LOs are either in a swing or in the crib.

But in a month we're moving into a furnished house until December and I haven't even seen it yet! So I really have no idea what we'll do! We'll probably cosleep if the bed isn't too soft. DH and I both prefer firm mattresses so I hope it's not soft.

RNP for 8 months as we dealt with colic and reflux issues. Our pedi was fine with this arrangement and our daughter had awesome neck control since birth, so I didn't worry overmuch. She slept in our room until she was 8 months and them one day tried to roll in the RNP (she'd never tried before, we were lucky lol) so we moved her to her crib. By then the reflux issues had subsided and she transferred just fine.

Plan to do the same with DD2 as long as pedi thinks it's okay and she's born with good neck control.

Arms Reach Co-Sleeper attached to my bed. By 3 months or so, I'd frequently fall asleep nursing her in my bed during the night and she'd spend the rest of the night there. It was a bit of a transition to get her into the crib on her own at about 6 months, but not too bad.
