I love what you pinned!! I've seen very similar tunic tops at VS.

I wore mostly sweats and loose tops. I wore nursing tanks underneath the tops.

If you aren't wearing something really BF-friendly, just wear a nursing tank underneath then you won't be exposing anything to nurse.

Also by Christmas I wouldn't be surprised if you're wearing some of your old clothes :)

I'm 6 weeks pp now and wearing regular pre-pregnancy jeans. I wore them from about 2 weeks pp with a rubber band. I have two-four lbs to lose. (Lost a bunch in the beginning and then stopped and then lost again... so we'll see. Oh, also, stopped BFing/pumping gradually so that affects it too.) It's the TOPS that don't look the same. I was a size M before and have beenbuying L just to hide the belly. It's mostly flat but from some angles looks flabby. I wouldn't recommend buying too much yet though. It's something you can do if you get a baby break when H is here, plus you can't really tell how your body will look til you give birth. Maybe you'll be surprised. Also, unless you're 100000% sure on BFing, you may want to wait. I really went in thinking that I would at least BF for 6 weeks. I ended up pumping (nursing tops still helpful) and that didn't last long.

I'm 4 weeks pp & am now wearing my pre-preg jeans (using the hair tie-button loop trick), nursing tanks, & any shirt I have with a stretchy neck. I do feel like I'm on the kind of 4 outfit loop I was at the very end of pregnancy, but I can't afford new clothes that will just get puked on. When I know I'm staying home all day/not having visitors, I wear yoga pants/leggings instead of jeans.

For the first week or two, yoga pants/leggings & nursing tanks were the only comfortable options. My nipples needed air & my lady area would've been miserable if I wore any fabric stiffer than cotten. Also, I find the nursing tanks (from target) to actually be more on the loose side than too tight.

I got a ton of wear out of my Japanese Weekend before and after stuff in that first month or two. Good for nursing, comfortable, really cute too. If you're going to spend real money, I'd suggest checking them out. I spent my baby's first week with her in the NICU, and it made me feel more human to be able to put on real clothing and not feel hideous.

I'm 13 days pp and living in sweatpants and nursing tanks. When I had to leave the house for doctors appts I squeezed into a large pair of pre-pregnancy jeans which was good. But our pedi likes us to keep the baby home for a month after birth so I'm not really going anywhere! And when family comes over they can see me in my sweats. I try to wear cute ones at least!

I wore yoga pants, capris, cotton skirts, and up top varying colours of vneck American apparall tshirts. I had major postpartum night sweats so at night I'd be wearing light nightgowns and changing them once or twice a night! Lol

I wore nursing tanks with a cardigan and my full panel maternity jeans for going out/people being over for the first 2 weeks (then I was back in my pre-preg jeans). I mostly used really drapey cardigans to hide post-baby belly wobbliness.

Keep in mind that PP belly is really quite loose. It felt much less gross to have it "contained" using full panel jeans or a belly binder (I used the belly binder with low rise maternity jeans, dresses, or pre-preg yoga pants).

Also, in case you end up with a c-section, you won't want anything rubbing the incision directly (that will be uncomfortable, and causes inflammation of the incision and increases scarring), so keep that in mind when buying post-partum clothing!

I'm 8days pp and have basically been wearing my maternity jeans, yoga pants, nursing tank tops, and nursing bras with big t shirts over them. My nips are so sore and painful that I try to just leave them out in the air as much as possible. My boobs are also so big that my normal shirts (both maternity and pre pregnancy) don't fit right, although I"m able to wear them if I need to go outside. I refuse to buy non maternity pants in a bigger size just yet, so I'm stuck with my two pairs of maternity pants for now! my old jeans get up around my hips but they don't close, and they give me a muffin top :(@TurtleDoves: omg the sweats! I have them too--I especially have underboob sweat due to my enormous boobies.

@princessbaby those are all really cute. I am 8 weeks pp today and have only worn crappy sweats and tees around the house AND out...no energy or time to even care what I look like, I just pray I don't run in to anyone! I tried putting on my pre-preg jeans, and even though they "fit" I have the worst muffin top now :-( I did wear leggings out of the house yesterday but they still pinch my gut so I put on a very loose, drape-y sweater. Nothing could have prepared me for this!!!

I didn't wear 1 single peice of that God forsaken maternity clothing....I pack it all away the night before my induction date.
I went out and got jeans and tried them on while preggo and they fit but didn't button (obviously). Now that belly is gone they button. They are 4s...I used to where 2s.
As far as tops go...all my tops fit but are snug.....I'm 10d pp and have to wear a compression tank or girdle when I wear normal shirts.....but my sweaters and jackets (northface) fit perfectly fine.
You didn't gain much weight at all and I think going a size up with a good compression tank will be fine!

Eta: In the house when no company is over I walk arou in shorts and a nursing tank (I have insane hot flashes right now). And I bought 3-4 really cute pajamas in a size up from pp weight because it will get super cold here soon.

@PrincessBaby: nursing tops are usually pretty hideous, but I wore a nursing tank under just about everything for the first 6 months. I got the Bravado ones at Target, they were slimming and super soft stretchy fabric that was really light and comfortable but kept my belly covered if I had to pull up a shirt.
I also got a lot of drape-y flyaway cardigans from Express to go over everything.
http://www.express.com/metallic-boucle-flyaway-cover-up-50435-215/control/page/6/show/3/index.pro

Oh and the maternity tanks from GapMaternity are amazing.
http://www.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=7275&vid=1&pid=151077022
They are only 'maternity' because they are super long, no weird gatherings on the sides, but they're so soft and cozy, I still wear them. And they're long so they cover my plumbers crack when I bend over (since I've lost my butt postpartum..).

@PrincessBaby: I HATE tight things with such a passion but I loved these tanks. The ones I got from Target were just perfect. They had a ton of stretch so they weren't annoying and they were very supportive for the girls, as well. I did get an expensive one from Bravado and that one is tight. Try out one of the Target ones. I suggest them to everyone and they're cheap.

The biggest thing for me to avoid "nursing tops" was to wear an undershirt/cami. I loved the cheap ones from Charlotte Ruse. I would wear a nursing bra, then a cami, then whatever shirt I wanted. When it was time to nurse I lifted my shirt up, pulled the cami and my bra flap down. It was great for coverage.

@mediagirl: I am worried that nursing tanks will be tight and touch my belly flab and it will drive me INSANE! Did you find some that weren't clingy or were comfy? Oh yeah - I directed someone I know who's pregnant to HB and she immediately saw my posts because of my name, and for some reason that was weird to me:) So I decided to go for something more anonymous:) I bought H the cutest book series called "Princess Baby" and that's what I've been calling her sometimes, so I went with that:)

@mrsjyw: Hey! I have been MIA due to two crazy weeks at work! But now I'm coasting until H gets here:) SOOOO much less stressful now that these past two really busy weeks are over! I will check Gap today bc I have that coupon that ends tonight, and I didn't even think about Loft...Thanks!
