@mrs. wagon: i'm just going to come to your house, steal all of your food and head home with it. Okaaaay? :)

I am going out today after work to find a fresh turkey (er, wish me luck)
Smashed potatoes with milk, butter and sour cream
2 sweet potatoes - one for hubs, one for dad. Cooked with butter and brown sugar.
Sauteed green beans with almonds
Waldorf salad
Stouffers stuffing (the cubed stuff) with their recipe
Pumpkin and Apple pies
Store bought rolls heated up at the last minute and hopefully not burned when we forget about them.

Mom is bringing the pies and the wine. I'm doing the rest. She will probably make the waldorf salad at our house.

I'm bringing a pumpkin and egg nog loaf for morning snacking to my parents house. My mom is kind of a control freak when thanksgiving is at her house, she doesn't want anyone to bring anything!

@tororojo: haha, yeah! You don't cook it very long after you add the brandy, so I think there's still plenty of alcohol left, so probably not good for us!

I was at a Thanksgiving feast over the weekend and someone brought brandied cranberries! I was thinking those sounded pretty good, but was advised not to try them because of the brandy, haha.

I don't like them. And it isn't lame, being smart claiming the easy stuff. I always pick something I like to cook and is easy :)

@regberadaisy: I've been making them for a while, over the past several months. They are actually pretty tasty! I do love mashed potatoes, but the healthy side of mashed cauliflower is winning these days. I use this recipe - and substitute cauliflower.
