Things I didn't have...Halo sleep sack (the one with the swaddle arms...by far the easiest to use and held him the best!) Gripe water (for hiccups and gas), and nursing tank tops!

@lawbee11: I've heard about triple paste before, I think I'll get that!

@Foodnerd81: yeah. The last thing I want is "oh I wish I had ... right now" and baby is screaming and it's the middle of the night! I'm trying to be as prepared as possible!

I wish I had Tylenol, saline nose drops, nose Friday, gas drops, and gripe water-- wanting gas drops for your screaming baby, ten minutes after the store closed, sucks. Also thermometer (I have both an ear one and a rectal one), and the nail clippers I have light up which is great. I files for the first few weeks because it was too scared to clip. Oh and boogie wipes are helpful.

We have used desitin and Boudreaux butt paste when her bum starts looking red. Definitely have lanolin for your nipples, and breast pads.

Nose frida and nature only diaper rash wholesome cream. I use a small nail file instead of clippers. Australian pharmaceutical grade lanolin saved me! Vitamin d drops.

You will need baby nail clippers for sure. I have to clip my LO's nails every other day because they grow so quickly. I have this one and like it a lot.

http://www.amazon.com/Safety-1st-Advanced-Solutions-Clippers/dp/B009UQPTX8/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1385940292&sr=8-8&keywords=Safety+1st+baby+nail+clippers

For diaper rash cream we use triple paste--it's awesome. We only use it for rashes or if it starts to get a little red I'll apply it, and we've never had a full-on diaper rash (LO is 4 months).

My LO has a lot of hair so I use a baby brush on a daily basis.

I don't know if this is actually a "gear" question... But I'm almost 34 weeks, about to complete my baby registeries and want to know what little things I should have. Examples on my list: baby Tylenol, gas drops, thermometer, diaper cream (suggestions here? And do you use one all the time or just for rashes?), nipple cream. Any other maybe not so obvious little things I should make sure I have on hand?
