I also do a light tummy circles and put a cold washcloth (or a warm one) on LO's head. DH gives kid Pepto but I don't like to use any form of medicine if I don't have to. Also more water.

If it is gas, you could try a light clockwise tummy rub.

@erinbaderin: haha thats what hellobee is for!! hope you get to the bottom of it. also not to be alarming but check if it hurts when you actually press his tummy or if he has a fever. if not then I would assume it is poop/gas related

@erinbaderin: I use the roll on option so it's pre-diluted. I just swab it across their belly once or twice. And yes! As soon as I do it, they stop to complain. Whether it's placebo or not I don't know but I like being able to do something! And I actually used it once when I had the stomach flu and found it helpful, so I think there is something to it. :)

@Mrsbells: He's generally a one poo per day kid (God, the things you tell other people as a parent) and he already went today but that was my theory too, maybe just gas. He's not potty trained so I did tell him that maybe there was some poo in there that had to come out.

@coopsmama: Thanks! I'll investigate that - I like the idea of being able to give him something so it at least seems to him like I care and want to fix it for him.

I use this: http://www.planttherapy.com/tummy-all-better

I find that it's usually just that they need to poop but the oils in this blend seem to soothe them and help them go. It's worked great with both of my two - and I love that it's especially formulated and safe for kids.

My son (2.5) has been saying tonight that his tummy hurts. He first started saying it at dinner, but he did eat some dinner. Then at bedtime he said he wanted a snack, and ate a banana, and now he's in his crib saying his tummy hurts. I don't know if it does or if he's just trying to delay but either way, what do you do? I've just been telling him to go to sleep and it will feel better in the morning. Thoughts, advice? I think he's faking but I'm going to feel like a real jerk if he throws up.
