@scg00387: I think she is so tired from adjusting to the adjustment of the toddler room and one nap that she can't help but fall asleep. I tried keeping her up in the car and I failed  windows up and down, singing to her, handing her a toy at red lights, I even would make Sophie squeak when she started to nod off but nothing worked.
@photojane: Sorry!! I know she is working on her molars. Damn things are taking forever.
@T.H.O.U.: I tried sitting next to her crib and patting her back but I moved away she freaked out.

Oh man… :( I think this happened when she was sick. And DH just let her watch TV with him in his lap until she fell asleep.

This totally happened with DS2 this evening. I end up just giving up and putting him in the jumperoo until he complained more and then did everything again (burp, change, pat, swaddle, paci, music, etc etc). DH finally got him down by just rocking him to sleep. Why do babies always go against their own self interest!?

When I read the title my first thought was "Cry..." lol if my LO was older I probably would have handled it just the way you did, just keep trying different things & hoping she sleeps.

Glad to hear she is finally asleep. When J is overtired we just let him cry out a little in crib and he falls asleep within a few minutes. Naps are a different story though..

@Smurfette: boo! Might be time to try and cut the cat nap if she's taking one good nap? If it's out of the norm, I have taken LO out to play and then restart 30 minutes later. But it's only happened once or twice.

Good luck. Sometimes what works for us is me to just sit in her room but not pay her any attention (read on my phone or something).

This has been us recently. Basically, I just wait it out. I go in and rub his back and sing to him... When I leave he starts crying. I let him cry and fuss for a few minutes, then I go back in and do it again. Eventually he tires out and goes to sleep. It's rough!! I know my LO is younger, so that may not work for yours, but waiting it out is all I can do!

I put R to bed 3 hours ago and she isn't asleep. When I was rocking her she just seemed like she couldn't get comfy. I gave her Tylenol cause she is teething after an hour. I sat next to her in the crib and patted her back. I tried putting her in our bed but she kept wanting to get up. Finally let her walk around for a while. She is so tired she didn't even want to play. Just was standing around. DH got home, and she pooped, so we put her back in the crib. She keeps going from laying down and looking like she is asleep and then rolling around and crying.

You can look at her and see she is tired. Rubbing her eyes, which is her sleepy cue. She is so over tired cause she is transitioning to one nap at day care but napped the best yet today. But did take a cat nap on the way home. But usually those don't mess with her sleep this much.

I don't know what to do.......
