Awww I hate when the bebes don't feel well.

Generally as long as DD seems comfortable I let the temp ride out, given it stays under 102. We nurse & snuggle lots and use essential lavender oil if her temp starts to get high.

If it stays high (100+) for over a day then I'll give Tylenol, I really try to not kill a fever though & let her build up her system.

For the last cold DD had we used eucalyptus oil in our steamy bathroom sits & vaporizer and then a few drops of lavender oil in her bath for her cough (it cleared a nagging cough she had for almost 3 weeks in just a few days).

Oh my. I could have written this post today. Our daughter is is sick with her first low grade fever, as well. I'm so nervous and feel so bad for her. She is just miserable and is no where near her normal self. :( We have just been giving Tylenol every 4 hours and checking her temp every diaper change. I'm sorry your lo is sick, too! It is so hard to see them in pain or sick and not know why they're feeling that way!!

I called the doctor after I couldn't get her temp under 101 with Tylenol. They said just bring her in tomorrow. They wouldn't want to see her on a weekend unless her temp was 104 or higher. Scary.

Aww I hope your LO feels better! I have no advice because my hubby is a doc and is in charge of those types of medical scenarios. I'd say if she is sleeping and eating and generally is herself the fever will pass without worry.

Our daughter has a really bad cold and a low-grade fever today. She's totally miserable, the poor child, except for when I give her tylenol. I've been trying to get her down for lots of naps, and we've been doing a lot of snuggles. What do you all do to make your babies more comfortable when they are sick? Also, when do you decide that it's time to call the doctor.

On a totally unrelated note, I was going to label this post for the "Baby Fever" board, but then I realized that's a TTC board. It's not a board for baby fevers, like this post. Lol.
