I'll make smoothies and turn them into popsicles. And I'll just push liquids and milk. I'll offer all of their favorites foods, even if it's hotdogs to get something in their stomach. Especially if they have a fever and I need to give motrin.

I just follow her and listen, I don't like to eat when I'm sick either so I take that into account and pretty much let her eat anything she asks for (within reason.) And I really push the fluids.

Push fluid and try not to be concerned if all he wants to eat are muffins, forzen yogurt or a poptart or something I wouldn't normally offer.

@mrbee: Same as above. My oldest will eat pouches, or a smoothie, and sometimes fruit. I find that milk makes him cough more when he is sick so we don't offer it before bedtime.

Mine will still eat pouches even if she won't touch real table food. So that's basically a smoothie.

We've been dealing with colds on and off recently, and when the kids have a cold they just don't eat much. We basically roll with it, and try to make sure they get as many calories as possible in liquid form. Milk is usually our goto on that front, as the kids will drink quite a bit of milk even when they're not feeling well!
