Standing gave us a few difficult days. I think she cried for 40 minutes one time before she sat down and fell asleep. It was so hard to ignore her but the next night was better and so on!

I just leave her. The first time she learned how to pull up was in her crib and she did fall once or twice but after that she just laid herself down.

I've always just left her alone and she'd end up falling over back to sleep. The odd time she bumped herself wasn't hard enough to make any sort of impact at all. When she was clearly upset and crying due to a dream or a sudden wake, I'd just sing a song into the monitor and she'd go back to sleep. I never really thought she was awake...I always believed that she was dreaming or half-asleep.

@Weagle: Not crazy, just standing and crying (while seemingly looking directly into the monitor camera, which makes me a sad panda).

@sloaneandpuffy: Thanks - *fingerscrossed* it is just a short phase.

I would leave the kid be. My son would sit up and then proceed to fall asleep all doubled over, which was really weird, so then I'd go in and lay him down when he was asleep. It didn't last more than a week, though.

Unless she was being crazy, I would just leave her. She eventually figured out how to sit back down, and the novelty of standing wore off.

Last night for the second time (although not on consecutive nights), BabyGloss woke up, fussed, and stood up in her crib (despite her sleep sack) and continued fussing. What the heck are you supposed to do when they do that?! I hate the idea of her falling, so both times after waiting a few minutes, I have gone in to get her (to her credit, she was about 7.5-8 hours in to her sleep), but I don't want her to equate standing with getting picked up! After I put her back down, she fussed again, and this time just sat up in her crib for a little over a half an hour . . . I could see her start to fall over and then she would wake up and steady herself again. *augh* I am terrified that she is going to bump her head or hurt herself!

Have any of you dealt with this? Do you have any suggestions?
