It's so hard to just let them eat when they want to! I am currently struggling with this with my son, but I've learned that he'll make up for it in the morning with a bigger breakfast. Have you tried increasing his first two meals and going with a lighter dinner? This seems to work really well with my son...he's just not a huge dinner eater right now.

I would just let him go too. My son is a good eat and he has days when he wont' even eat half his food and I don't worry about it. If he was consistently not eating (like 3-4 meals in a row) then I would kinda worry about that. But a few skipped meals here and there..nahhh. no biggie. :)

I would just let him go, especially if he's generally a good eater. If she doesn't want what's given that meal, I just assume she's full and try again the next meal.

Sometimes they are not hungry. I wouldn't make DD another meal as I don't want to create that habit. They'll eat when they are hungry.

I just let them go. Sometimes they are just not hungry. Sometimes my boys will go a couple of days of just picking at their plates and not eating much. Then it goes back to normal. Then there's the times that my 3.5 year old eats more than me and that's also a little scary.

I just let DD go, and then offer her something light (yogurt, another glass of milk, etc...) right before bed.

since he's usually a good eater, i would just let him starve and feed him a bigger breakfast!

Mavrick is generally a good eater. Sure he doesn't eat all the veggies in his plate, but he usually eats seconds and thirds. But lately, even today, he did not want to eat his plate. It was pasta with sausage (and he LOVES sausage) all he ate was half a piece of bread and drank some milk.

What do you do? Do you let it go? Offer him something else?
I personally don't want to start giving him options, so I'm just hoping he will want to eat a little later. Maybe he's just not hungry?

Tips?
