@LovelyPlum: I'm so glad I asked ahead of time - now I'm not worried about what to do! AND I won't have to pump! AND I'll get some nice quiet alone time with Xander! I'm so happy our society is getting more nursing friendly and people are willing to find appropriate locations for nursing moms! <3

OMG, I'm so excited! I just e-mailed the historic village that we're going to be at for the stroll to ask if they had somewhere I'd be able to nurse and they decided on one of their rooms for me to use and will let their staff know that should a mom be looking for a place to nurse, where they should send her!

I do think giving a bottle would probably be easier, but I like the excuse of nursing to skip out on things, haha.

In the car! Or pump in the car on the way there and give him the bottle. (or reverse the situation- pump on the way home and give him the bottle) I nurse in the car all the time.

Also I am having trouble with the MA weather and all the freaking layers I have to wear to stay warm but still be able to BF!! pain in the butt!

I nursed in the car many times in the heat and in the freezing cold! Although looking back I really wish I had fed a bottle and pumped! Would have been so much easier.

I just do it. It's easier if you wear a nursing top under a warm zip-up top (like a fleece) and have a scarf. I also nurse under a real blanket - rather than a cover or A+A blanket - in this scenario.

I might pump and pack a bottle in this scenario, but I think that nursing in the car (or any other indoor spot -- a coffee shop? etc) would work!

So we're going to this candlelight stroll thing in December and it's going to be FREEZING (because that's just how it always is in December here) and it's an hour drive just to get there, so I'm wondering what to do about nursing...

I'm planning on nursing before we leave, but if I wanted to make sure we were home before I had to nurse again, we'd only be able to stay there for an hour. I'd like to stay longer if possible, but what should I do about nursing Xander? Just try to nurse in the car after I get it warmed up?
