In her moses basket which I would carry into the kitchen when she was really little. Then in her bouncer and swing. Then as soon as she was mobile at 6 months I baby proofed my front room and kitchen and just let her roam. Now when I'm cooking I just let her run around the kitchen rummaging around in the cabinets, which are all either baby safe or locked away. I have to put her behind a gate when I get into the oven now.

I have a little table in there that I put snacks on for her. Sometimes I'll open the dishwasher and let her just play around in there. She also loves to dig around in my bottle recycling.

It def changes. When she was younger it was either her bouncer or play mat. Now it's either bouncer, walker or bebepod.

We have a pup too but she's always within my eye sight so not an issue.

We have 2 dogs as well! This week I made a baby gate out of his toys on the side of the kitchen that we can't fit a baby gate and used the baby gate on the other side. He goes on his floor mat in here and plays unless DH is home, then he's with Daddy! :) We don't own a pack & play but I have found a few times where I thought it would be useful.

These days I put him in the bumbo on the kitchen floor with a bunch of puffs and snacks on the tray. Our dog also keeps him company :).

I used to put him in the exersaucer and he'd be fine for 20-30 minutes but he stopped liking the exersaucer around 6 months,

It changes with my lo as she gets older. When she was younger it was her bouncer. She only liked her swing for napping. And she wasn't a fan of baby wearing, plus I didn't trust myself with a big pot of boiling water or getting things out of the oven with a baby attached to me. She liked the pack n play for about a week. Now I can get short meals done or just prep and she'll play in the kitchen, she's 15 months. But I usually just wait for dh to come home to cook.

Do you put them in a pack n play? A bumbo seat? Their car seat? Their stroller? A baby carrier like the ergo?

How did this change as they got older?

I'm debating about whether to register for a pack n play. Our house isn't that big though, and some of those are just HUGE! The smaller ones, that would fit in our kitchen or living room are only safe up to 15 pounds, so it seems like a waste of money for something that will only last a few months. I'm just at a loss as to where we can put the baby while we're cooking or cleaning, aside from their crib.

ETA: We have two dogs, so baby needs to be out of Fido's reach, lol, lest they think baby is their new toy!
