If I need more space on my shelves I'll donate the books I didn't like much or don't think I'll read again, but me and my husband are the kind of people who will keep 2 copies of one of our favourite book series, one in the bedroom where some of the books are in worse condition or don't have the covers we like, and one out on display in the living room. Otherwise, I'll take it to a used bookstore and see if they'll "buy" it from me for store credit. I don't like to accumulate a ton of books (that I won't reread, anyway), so I mostly use the library to avoid cluttered shelves. For books I love and have already read multiple times, I buy them in hardcover and keep them on a shelf.</p> <p>If you're never going to read it again, I say donate them, or give them to a friend.
