After that we will sell things at a local consignment sale. The exception is things that I can easily return, for example for one nanny family I bought sippy cup and they were on sale but three get one free or something, they were awful though so I pitched the one and took the others back. I know many people wanted to wash everything before baby got here, but I found that it was more practical to wait, particularly for clothing that was for later because you never know how fast your LO will grow and if summer items now fit and its still too cold out.</p> <p>For everything else where you must open a package and try it, we sold it/gave it away if LO hated it (or we hated it). Swap w/ friends? Return if not opened?</p> <p>I know you won't know whether your LO likes certain products until you've tried them. So what if they don't like something? Or you never needed it? What if the packages are opened? What do you do with all that stuff? </p> <p>For example, what if you wanted to BF and got all the equipment, but had to quit after a few weeks/months? What if you got some swaddles and LO is not a swaddler? </p>
