I used it more when I worked for one of the Big 4 as an IT auditor, but it still comes in handy. Mostly it's taught me how to be a sponge, soaking up information and thinking critically under pressure. I have been working in the marketing field for just over 6 years now (ever since graduating with the associate's degree.) While I did work in politics in DC for awhile, once I moved back to Oregon I focused more on the business side. I run strategic planning for a community hospital which uses a little of both degrees, but also requires a lot I never learned in college, and I own my own wedding planning business, which uses some of my business/mktg degree. I've thought about getting my masters but I'm moving up quickly without it, so why spend the money?
