I work in Marketing for a park district and on a weekly basis I get someone suggesting to me that we "get an app." But most of the time, people don't mean we need an APP, they mean we need a mobile compatible website. (And it's in the works, thank goodness!) Personally, I like some of the advances in responsive web design and it solves a lot of the issues that people have navigating web sites on mobile devices. Right now I have to zoom and move around the website in a weird way that makes posting awkward. Really it would provide the same content but be designed in a way that is more compatible with the size and shape of a phone.
