How's that for specific? :) I adored having one with a newborn. I kept hair ties, ear plugs, chapstick, my phone, nipple cream - whatever I needed in that front pocket. I could unzip quickly to nurse but still have coverage that tented over my baby pooch and c-section wound. I could just wear it by itself when I was going through the post-partum sweats and stay cool, or wear PJs underneath it when I was cold. I got a charcoal gray terry one from Kohl's, so it was plain and subtle enough open the front door to receive a package or something. </p> <p>A really good sleep mask (maybe even 2 for both parents) and a box of earplugs.</p> <p>The Contigo Grace water jugs both DH and I can't live without anymore. I was drinking SOOO much water. </p> <p>For baby, I would say the Dream on Me pack n' play mattress. Its $30 bucks and my son sleeps so well on it.
