My DS is 5 and I love watching him with his little sister. He is so helpful these days and when she is sad he will run to his craft supplies and cut her out a pink heart "Cuz mommy, she loves pink!" and of course it always cheers up his sister!!

He loves to help in the kitchen, make beds, and do laundry. And we can have some pretty real/funny talks - I am loving this age so much!!!!

DS just turned 3 and I LOVE talking to him and having actual conversations. I love to see how his little mind works. It's also nice that he is fairly independent since we have a new baby.

I know what you mean. After having a rough time with the 2s and 3s, the 4s and 5s are so NICE!

DD1 is almost 6, and although I totally miss her being a baby, I'm really excited about the child she is today and the child she's becoming. I do feel like these early elementary school years are some of the most rewarding times for parents. A lot of the parents at our school with even older kids say that these are the best years, and I have to agree so far!

Mine only just turned two, and just today, one of the grumpy old guys at work commented on how I appear to enjoy being a mother more than a year ago!

I love that she talks and is so funny, and gives hugs and shares her fishes and puts my shoes away and understands things and knows people and walks. I find having a toddler waaaaaay less work than a baby. You can go out and put some diapers and wipes in your purse and not bottles and extra outfits and food and worry about where you're going to be when she needs to eat or sleep.

I will take tantrums and attitude over a crying baby any day!!!!

I have an almost 3 year old and just the simple things he can do for himself is nice like getting dressed, putting shoes on, using the toilet, and buckling the top of his car seat. He'll help me take the trash out and I can't wait for him to be able to do other chores.

B is 4 and he is so incredibly helpful! He replaces the paper towel roll, the toilet paper roll, can fold his laundry and put it away correctly, he makes his bed...and he even likes to make my bed!!

It's such a fun age since he loves when I praise him for his hard work. I never want him to stop doing any of it ;)

We worked really hard to get through the 2's and 3's so even though I miss him being my little baby, I'm glad we are at a happy, stress-free point.
