So it has all the ammentites of a bigger city but it only takes 20 minutes to get to anywhere in town. </p> <p>I'm more excited to move back to the country. I'm talking a town of 250 people with only main street paved, the rest are gravel :) I love small town living &amp; love the country life style. Everyone is friendly, everyone waves as you walk by or stops to say hi, it's great. It is SO busy and vibrant on weekend nights especially. Hard to get a table at any of the restaurants, but makes it hard to miss the city.</p> <p>I love the easy access to suburb-y things (Costco, chain restaurants like Chili's, Ikea, huge malls, 3 different grocery stores to choose from, etc)</p> <p>I love the location of the town (at the intersection of two main highways of our state which makes for easy access to anywhere)</p> <p>I love the accessibility to the city (there is actually a bus route that runs right down our street, but we've never taken it... it's a 20 min drive to the city!) </p> <p>We're not in our dream town just yet, but if we end up here for a few more years I would be totally fine with it. We really love the town! The public schools are ok but not the best. We're hoping to get into a town next door for their top notch public schools. </p> https://boards.hellobee.com/topic/what-do-you-love-about-the-town-you-live-in#post-1069648 Fri, 06 Sep 2013 08:11:28 +0000 BananaPancakes 1069648@https://boards.hellobee.com/ <p>I'll try to find the good in my town because I really don't love it here, but here goes:</p> <p>I love that there are literally hundreds of bodies of water to choose from on any given day; the lake, the beach, multiple rivers, and Florida's springs are amazing and I feel lucky to live so close to some of the best. </p> <p>I love that everyone has citrus trees in their yard, and that we get to make fresh squeezed juice for 2-3 months of the year. </p> <p>I love that most of our family is within 2 hours of driving (though I also hate it at the same time :) )</p> <p>Disney World is 1.5 hours away, so we can go whenever we like. I adored growing up so close to the theme parks. Like yours truly<br /> many born here leave for college or a job but end up moving back to raise a family<br /> the FOOD! For a small city we have a ton of different cuisines. So many great restaurants that are locally owned<br /> within 40 minutes to 2 hours we have state parks, tons of farms, the finger lakes<br /> the Architecture. So many great Architects started here so there's a ton of architectural history here.<br /> On a balmy morning the smell of Cheerios!<br /> the proximity to big cities. Toronto is 1.5 hours and NYC is 6-7 hours.
