My friend was all worried her newborn would be all red and swollen and weird looking, and I told her, don't worry. HE WILL BE. But you will not realize it. Months later, you look at the photos and you're all, wow, he really was all swollen and red and alien-ish! But there was a span of a few weeks (around 4-5 weeks) where his head was changing shape a bit and went from being pretty round to more squarish.
