They put a plaque with the loved ones name on it in memory. Since she passed away from cancer, we would send a donation to something that would go towards finding a cancer cure, or a local hospital for cancer patients, etc. But they're not Jewish, and I know most other people send flowers. </p> <p>Personally, I'd rather send a donation in her honor because, well, flowers die. But is that weird? Should I just stick with flowers? I need some non Jewish people's perspective! </p>
