My husband and I both work at a dry cleaners, so my answer will be a little different! All of DH's work clothes get done at work. His shirts go through shirt laundry and his pants get wet cleaned. I also had my uniform shirt wet cleaned fairly often. That being said, his stuff was all free and my shirts were less than $2 because of my employee discount.
Our excuse for doing this was that we only do laundry about once every week and a half, two weeks, but at work our items would be ready the next day. Considering I only have 2 shirts and he has 3 shirts, 3 pairs of pants, it was nice getting them done at work.

@Bookworm: Oh! Lucky! DH doesn't, but I unfortunately have to wear business attire. :( I just usually buy things that are hang dry because I refuse to spend more money cleaning clothing that I barely sweat in to begin with! haha.

I just take DH's work shirts to the dry cleaner. He got tired of me spritzing them with water and throwing them in the dryer for a few minutes to de-wrinkle 0:) It's EXPENSIVE though! $45 for 16 shirts? I can't imagine dry cleaning anything else with any regularity.

@.twist.: LOL! same here! I've never used a dry cleaners, but that's because neither DH nor I have jobs where we are required to wear business attire- we both wear jeans and t-shirts (or cute shirts, in my case) to work! My mom used to have to go a couple times a week for all my dad's business shirts!

Very rarely do I dry clean. I hang dry a lot, though. I imagine that if I had nicer work clothes I would a lot more, but where I work now is pretty casual so I can just wear jeans and stuff.

All of DHs work shirts and suits go to the dry cleaners for at least laundry & press. I tried washing and ironing his shirts for a couple of weeks, but it seriously gets to be too much with a shirt every single day. When I was working, about half my clothes were dry-cleaned. Now I stay at home so I try to avoid wearing dry-clean stuff to save $.

I didn't used to dry clean anything until I met DH. He dry cleans a lot so I just started sticking all my work clothes in with his.

Oh man, I've never been to the dry cleaner! DH farms and does construction so his clothes are washable and I am a nurse so I wear scrubs. We're pretty boring.

@.twist.: Me too! Otherwise it goes into the wash anyways and is either actually safe to put in the washer, or it shrinks 50 sizes and goes to one of my baby cousins.

DH's shirts, mostly. He said he would wash and iron himself, but of course he doesn't and then I have to do it. i have been trying to minimize the dry cleaning and started washing my work sweaters on gentle. However, they are not holding up so well, so I may need to start bringing those again!

@.twist.: I need to start doing this too!

DH work pants and shirts. He has no-iron shirts from JosABanks and Brooks Brothers but he still wants the cleaners to do them. At least men shirts are cheap. Now I just have sweaters, since my maternity work pants can can all be washed on gentle cycle, then I air dry.

These days my outfits are generally maternity clothes, mostly polyester/cotton based, so not much of my clothing... but DH likes to get his shirts laundered at the dry cleaners'.

He must think we're made of money though, because he keeps putting his DOCKERS and other casual khakis into the dry cleaning bag. I refuse to take things like that to the dry cleaner's unless there's a stain - i keep sneaking them into the regular laundry.

What about you, what do you get dry cleaned on a regular basis?
