My daughter is only 7 months and my mom and dad really keep trying to get me to have her watch it but right now I think she's too young. When I was little my favorite was Oscar, I don't know why. There is way too much Abby Cadabbie (or however it is spelled) and Elmo. It just doesn't seem as educational. I saw him in a recent promo for the new season of Sesame Street. I grew up watching PBS, and Sesame Street was essential in my childhood. Cantonese was my first language, and I was forced to learn English by the time I went to school I religiously watched Sesame Street and quickly picked up English. Yay for Sesame Street & PBS! I heard their ratings slipped after Blues Clues came on, and that made me sad. It's made me happy that Sesame Street is on YouTube, and Charlie has really enjoyed watching clips here and there. Even if he tends to like the newer characters, and not the old school ones that I loved. Whatever happened to The Count?? What do you think of Sesame Street? Who was your favorite character?
