I actually just dab plain old hand sanitizer on the pimple & usually that bit of alcohol is enough to dry the pimple without drying out the skin around it too badly. Sometimes I have to use a couple applications of it, but often this works.

I recently ordered an anti blemish cleanser from face naturals. I meant to use it for my sun spots and after talking to their specialist, they informed me the product is suitable for acne/pimples and recommended something else for sunspots. So I can't say how effective the anti blemish cleanser is (they have the moisturizer too) but i've tried their dead sea mask and restore moisture for dry skin and they are AMAZING. I have complained about how dry and dull my skin is this winter and pregnancy and having tried a few other products like the Korean water cream? Forgot the whole name, too much fragrance for me so I stopped using it. I have used the dead sea mud mask once and the restore moisture cream for about 2 weeks and my skin is amazingly soft and I can't stop touching it!

https://facenaturals.com/product-category/collections/collection-sets/anti-blemish/

If you have questions, their specialists are glad to help and will patiently explain to you via email/phone.

All their ingredients are readable organic ingredients!

I'm also using their shampoo, twice so far and it has done amazing for my hair as well. I just blow dry and my hair is not frizzy, stays in place and looks like I styled it. Love it. My Husband says he loves it too and that he notices his hair is softer and doesn't stick out weird haha, AND says his hair doesn't feel itchy even after a couple days.

Sorry for the rant, just so excited to share some thing that has worked for our family so well. We're gonna try their line of soap/body wash next!

I don't get pimples very much, but if I do, I put a dab of this on them. It's a lot less drying than other creams I've tried.

I use TJ's tea tree oil on a qtip to dry out any spots without drying out the whole area.

Glycolic acid (I use Sanitas' Glycotoner 5%) has worked much better for me in my 30's. It's something I use each night, rather than as-needed. It exfoliates and moisturizers, too! BP worked pretty well for me as a spot treatment with younger/less dry skin, but SA never did much.

Nothing seems to help. Otc things dry out the whole area too much, even the burts bees tea tree oil. I'm best just leaving it alone, but I never do...

In the past I'd always use something like salicylic acid or benzoyl peroxide, but I read this post about using drawing salves to treat pimples recently:

http://www.refinery29.com/drawing-salves-pimple-treatment

I broke out after traveling/exhaustion/falling asleep with makeup on. I happened to have PawPaw ointment (mentioned in the piece above) so I applied that, and I think it worked much better than regular otc pimple treatments, which always dried out my skin too much. I'm interested in trying some of the other products mentioned!

How do you treat pimples? Any products you love?
