J stuck her hand in an ant pile yesterday :-( but the lavender and coconut oil have helped a ton. It sounds crazy but it does stop the itch and soothe. I use it for all of my itches now. Not the gel kind, the white kind. Once it dries the itch is gone, just dab a little bit on the bite and see if you can keep her from touching it for about 10 mins.
