My dd is now 13 months and I have been using an alligator type of clip since she was about 1 month old. I have made some and purchased most from target and etsy. I find the ones from etsy are best bc (well at least from the shop I purchased) added a gripping for the clip to stick to the hair. Now that my daughters hair is longer and she sometimes pulls the clip off I now tie her hair as if she is wearing a clip.

I also cut her bangs. Nothing stays in her hair because she yanks it out.

@shopaholic: i'll have to look them up!

@Mrs. Superhero: i really don't want to cut her bangs - but her dad does! haha. i think she'll keep a headband on for now, i'll have to see if i can find a nice one for her. no pigtails yet haha. it's right at the length where it gets in the eyes but not long enough to tie really.

I gave in and cut her bangs, I couldn't keep a clip in her hair all the time! I have a variety of hair clips that I use for the girls, lots of ribbon covered alligator clips and some snap barretts. Will she keep a headband on? Can you get her hair in pigtails?

My BFF uses those little hair clips from Carters on her little girl like everyday. They are covered in a ribbon thing. I bought a few on sale there for our future LO. I also got some cute headbands with lace or stretchy material for my BFFS little girl.
