And if you need to, you can always pop out two of them and defrost both. In the early stages (like 6 months - 10 months) I used the Kinderville bowls to defrost them in the steamer. At around 11 months I just defrosted them in the microwave.</p> <p>Oh, also you may want to try feeding just one type of food at one time in the beginning to rule out any allergies (and also to get LO used to the flavors). Then you can start mixing different veggies for different flavors (like peas/carrots, broccoli/cauliflower, apple/pear, etc). I used the Beaba Babycook and it's basically just a steamer and blender in one. I mentioned in another post that I loved the Beaba Silicone Trays and I would say look into those for baby puree. They're super easy to use. You just put the baby food in each "cup" and freeze the whole tray. Then when you're ready to serve one, you pop it out of the tray (which is why I love the silicone component ---super easy to pop out) and then defrost. I used the Kinderville bowls to defrost the food (also made of silicone). It's great for baby food, soups, sauces, whatever you want really. Plus it came with a whisk and chopper attachment.
