I don't mind spending money on people, but I hate shopping and prefer to pick out my own stuff and minimize clutter in my apartment. So, gift giving usually falls flat with me. My parents are constantly buying us stupid crap that we don't want or need. As soon as I pop out this baby, I'm going to open up a 529 plan for him and ask them to just deposit any cash they want to spend on me or my husband into the college fund instead.
