I would wear tights and boots with a long sleeve dress as well. C was baptized in Nov in New England and I wore a wrap dress (easy to bf in), tights and boots, with a warm coat on the way to and from. I was sweating in church from bouncing and soothing her during the ceremony, so don't underestimate how much heat holding and soothing the baby will generate.

DS got Baptized in Dec in DC and yes I wore a dress - no hose (yuck) with a long dress coat - once you are in the church its warm - no need to dress like your going to be cold =)

I wore a long-sleeved dress, tights, and a blazer. And my sleeping baby. :) A shawl instead of the blazer would be nice, too. A suit, a nice shirt and pants, a dressier sweater and a skirt, etc., would all be appropriate and sufficiently warm, I think. All of the baptism activities I've been to when it's chilly out are indoors, so a coat, boots, and winter accessories would probably address any weather you encounter. Congratulations!

We're baptizing LO in December. What would you wear? I've never even been to a baptism before but it seems like everyone wears dresses. I'm from So Cal and the baptism will be in the New England area and dresses seem too cold in that weather.
