I have a 5 year old and 2 year old, and they fight the most over toys. LO2 will just take toys away while LO1 is playing, and both kids start going after each other.

oh boy, 2 girls here, 6 and almost 4 years; they fight about anything and everything--toys naturally, who gets to sit by me at lunch or dinner, clothes, attention, they drive me nuts. it's really dependent on the older one, who can be very sensitive and dramatic, so if she's in a crabby mood, she really gives the younger one a hard time, but if she's in a good mood, the younger one is agreeable for the most part.

Pushing buttons. Literally. Every day they fight about who pushes the elevator buttons in the apartment and who pushes the doorbell at daycare. Ugh. And umbrellas. My DS got an umbrella for his birthday last year and DD was so jealous and always wanted it. I finally broke down and bought her her own umbrella and, of course, it hasn't rained when we are leaving the house since! Obviously, they fight over toys and things like that from time to time, but the buttons and umbrella are guaranteed arguments.

My girls are 19 months and just about 4 years.

They get along REALLY well for the most part - my youngest wants to do what the older one is doing, so most of the whining or arguing is about DD2 trying to "get" whatever DD1 has (and dd2 is FAST!)

My oldest is actually very thoughtful so she will often bring something to my younger daughter to help distract her. She'll also call me for help. The issues come up with my less-verbal toddler yanks her hair out of frustration 😂
