mine are usually light the week after AF, and then get lighter a few days before O, then all of a sudden they get dark. usually a + in the afternoon, a + the full next day, then a + in the morning and a - in the afternoon of the 3rd day (that's what I count as O day and AF is then 14 days later).

Mine fade in but never seem to get as dark as the control. I think I ovulated though because there would be a clear temp shift and my period would reliably arrive 14 days later.

I fade in the day before, get two days of positives, and then fade out. I usually O on the second day. I take at all different times...early (like 6am), 10am, or late afternoon (5pmish) and my results are always spot on. So the time of day doesn't matter for me, personally. I use Wondfo...haven't missed a surge yet..though I almost did this cycle, because I ovulated 4 days early! If I hadn't randomly taken a test I would have completely missed it!

I use wondfos, always in the afternoon (between 5-6pm, whenever I get home from work). My positives fade into a clear + almost instantly (when I first dip the test, a shadow of a line emerges then gets darker). I stop testing once I get my first + opk (it drives me bonkers to keep testing). I've never missed my surge (I believe? It's been so long that I'm forgetting!)

I'm glad I ran out of digitals because this month I got a very dark positive on my wondfo, but my digital was negative?? I'm over digitals!

I have gotten both "out of the blue" and the "fade in" type. Depends on the month and how sudden my LH sure is, I guess. I always test at about 5pm, for consistency. I use the Wondfo cheapies, and I like to see the line intensity!

I get positive, positive, negative, then temp drop typically. They fade into positive . I tend to be positive very late in the evening.

My RE told me to use the cheapies so you can actually see the lines instead of the digitals that sometimes show false positives or in my case errors when I was getting close to O. She also told me to test in the afternoon and hold my pee for about 2 hours prior. She said your body starts to produce the LH surge in the morning so the most accurate result would be in the afternoon around 3 or 4pm.

Both cycles that I used them, I got a clear positive almost immediately on days when I ovulated. Don't forget it isn't the color or thickness of the line - it is only the darkness you are looking for to compare to the control line.

With the cheapies I never actually got a positive (at least not one I felt confident about) even when testing multiple times a day. I never could get the hang of them or see any identifiable pattern if fading in/out which is why I switched to digital. This was my first cycle with the digital but I got 2 highs and 1 peak,, so pretty consistent with what's supposed to happen

This is why I switched to the CBE Fertility Monitor and digitals, too much guessing and freaking out over whether it was positive or not.

They got gradually darker over the days and usually 2 days of clear positives when I looked back at them.

With cheapies I get a nice fade in and a quick fade out. I typically get a positive 36-48 hours before ovulation and it is totally gone by 24 hours after ovulation. With digitals I don't get a positive until the night before my temperature spike so they are sort of useless for me.

I will usually get one that makes me think huh, that's a bit dark and then that night of the day after it will be really dark, this usually lasts till the morning after but by the following nightie will have faded again (can you tell I us cheapies haha).

I am sure this has been discussed at length on here, but I can't find any good threads, so here goes:

How do you experience OPKs? Do they fade in before a +? How many days do you get a +? Which type of OPK do you use? What time of day do you test? Have you ever missed your surge with OPKs?

I am turning into a completely neurotic TTCer this cycle. My cycle was really regular pre-baby and this is my first real cycle off BCP TTCing #2. Yesterday or today would be O day based on my part super regular cycles, and I have had all the O signs (CM, CP, O pains, etc.), but no positive OPK. It was almost + yesterday, but very very negative this morning. Like I said, I am being completely neurotic, but I would love to hear your experiences.
