He works as the machinist foreman for a very large seafood company in Alaska May-August. He took my hubby up there with him this year to operate the crane for them. </p> <p>My Mom is a very talented tole painter, she was a SAHM all but 4 years of my childhood. I just love learning about all these different people doing different things all over the world!!!</p> <p>My dad works in banking technology. I've never fully understood exactly what he does (and I'm in the tech industry!) but it has to do with programming languages and banking/loan transactions. He worked for a huge bank for 25 years but his technology was phased out. Luckily after a few years of unemployment (and a pack and ship store that went under) he got a job with a consulting company that works for smaller banks that are still on the old technology. Hopefully that job will take him the next few years until he can retire.</p> <p>My mom went to school in Korea to be a nurse, but came over to America right after and obviously that degree wasn't valid here. So she had all kinds of random jobs... working for pharmaceutical companies, hospitals, and finally she worked as a business manager for a small dental practice until a few years ago. Now she doesn't work. (except when she comes to be our childcare provider for LMW!!! paid in LOVE!!!)</p> <p>Obviously since I never understood what my dad did, I didn't follow in his footsteps, but he did get me an internship during college at the bank he worked at (State Street), which pushed me in the direction of technology.
