My dad just loves to roll his eyes at anything so when I say the names of LO's friends he makes comments about them being so trendy it something (many of our friends have pretty popular but classic names, not terribly unusual!). </p> <p>One thing I think is funny is the number of people our parents ages who have made comments about the baby's name- how you used to hear it all the time but never hear it nowadays. Wrong- her name is Grace and it was the 9th most popular name in our state last year. Now they are mostly used for girl names. For example, my cousin's girls have Arabic names (their mom is Muslim) and my cousins (mom's nieces &amp; nephews) have American black names. Her peer group was part of the second wave to break the color lines in Corporate America and deliberstely named their kids all very popular mainstream names.
