I don't think they made LO change out of her clothes. I'm pretty sure she was in her pjs the entire time. Hers was at an outpatient surgical center and not a hospital, though. The procedure lasted less than 10 minutes. Good luck!

@spaniellove: Thanks! I hope so too.

@Smurfette: Good to know that's a possibility. I'll make sure he wears comfy pjs just in case.

My LO go tubes at 21 months and they told us to dress her in something comfy. So we kept her in her pjs and they never changed her into a gown.

@CakeLady: He shouldn't need one and they'll have to take it off anyway. The room will be warmed up and they'll use prewarmed blankets.

@CakeLady: Lucas hated hats so I'm no help there, however, they never offered him one so maybe they don't have those provided and maybe bring one just in case

Yes, and almost undoubtedly he will have to wear one (even when Lucas was in just a diaper, I had to have a gown on him before he went down). It's no big deal, they are very easy to get on and nurses will help if it's needed. I would take him to the hospital in a one piece (sleeper or creeper) so you have less to keep track of. They also have acceptable socks they will give you. It is cold in the waiting area so I'd be sure to bring a blanket (again, if you forget, the nurses will probably bring one - they often brought Lucas heated ones and he LOVED them)

DS is going to have ear tubes put in next week. It is a very common and quick procedure. His doctor said there is a greater likelihood of getting in a car accident on the way to the hospital than something going wrong, so I am trying not to worry too much.

This may be a silly question... I was reading over some of the materials from the hospital and they said "your child will change out of their clothing and put on a hospital gown..." DS is 8 months old. Do they make tiny hospital gowns for babies?
