I had a constant headache for weeks in my 2nd trimester. Maybe try drinking a little caffeine?

I agree that if you're concerned, you should call. It's better safe than sorry, especially when you're high risk.

@Boogs: I was gonna say the same thing.

You shouldn't feel silly calling, but if you do I would bet they'll tell you to come in. If you don't want to waste a trip there I would just go check your BP somewhere and if its high go straight to the doctor.

I say it's always better to be on the safe side, just make the phone call. Is there a way for you to maybe take your own blood pressure with a little machine from a drug store or the ones they actually have in the pharmacy at drug stores?

@travelingbrit: It's Wednesday. My only concern with waiting until then is that their office will be closed Monday and Tuesday for the holiday.

I wouldn't feel silly calling - your OB specifically said to watch out for headaches. It's probably a sinus headache, but I would probably call just to be sure.

I had pre-e but never had headaches. Just like @Rainbow Sprinkles it was like someone took a picture with a flash but the spots didn't go away. I also had swelling that came on really quick and never went back down.

I had high BP throughout my pregnancy and towards the end I started getting headaches behind my eyes and seeing stars. It looked like someone had just taken my picture with a bright flash.

I also had a lot of headaches from sinus pressure like @Thehistoryofus:. Not surprising since most women are more stuffed up during pregnancy. But since your doctor specifically told you to be on the lookout for headaches I don't think you should feel silly calling to check in. Just let the nurse know what you're feeling and tell her you wanted to call in because of your doctor's concerns about you being at risk for pre e.

I got really bad sinus headaches like you are describing. I would call and talk to a dr about it (or can you take your own BP)? Also, I ended up going on a daily dose of clartin which helped plus sudafed as needed.

My OB told me to be especially on guard for preeclampsia symptoms since it's more likely with multiples. He specifically said to call about headaches, vision changes, and swelling in the face. For the past week and a half I have been getting a headache every day. It's not severe like a migraine, but it is nagging and doesn't go away even when I take Tylenol. It's not 24/7, but it has occurred every day for a good chunk of the day. I feel silly calling to check on a headache because (1) they are so common during pregnancy and (2) it's not a bad headache, just a consistent one. I"m not having vision changes or facial swelling.

If you had pre-e headaches, what did they feel like? Were they super severe?
