@anonysquire: I'm definitely an obnoxious pet owner who posts pictures on Instagram and Facebook constantly. Imagine me being a mommy.

My baby fever has gotten way too outta hand. So much that I treat my cats as children and shower them with kisses. I just need something to baby and take care of. I'm working on stuff for my sisters baby shower and just bawling cause it's not for my baby. I constantly think about babies!

My LO has some how turned into a toddler, so I'm itching for a baby again. My brother and good friend just had babies so you'd think I'd have plenty of babies to hold, but LO of course doesn't want her mommy paying attention to anyone but her. I think it would be different if I let her touch the babies, but I'm not going to let her touch someone elses babies. People don't seem to like when toddlers touch their newborns. So I'm stuck just looking at them :(

But I'm trying to be practical and wait until LO is a bit older and more independent so when I do get pregnant and have horrible awful migraines every day she'll be able to entertain herself while I lay on the couch for a little bit.

Until then I just look at the itty bitty babies, make my new niece teeny tiny tutus, and help DH's cousin with her registry. Anything to get my fill of baby things!

I think mine is more family-fever. I've just got so much love and time and energy to give, I'm ready to dedicate myself to someone who needs me completely - I'm just so ready to be a mum.

I do like seeing babies but I'm not gaga over them, even now. What tugs at my heartstrings, seeing my friend with her new baby, is the sense of family he's created. I want us to be a family so much!!! I'm looking forward to having a baby but only because he or she will be a new person, our son or daughter, and will grow up through all those amazing stages to be the person he/she was born to be!

I've always had baby fever. I was incredibly responsible about preventing pregnancy though. This was before I knew that I have a medical condition that prohibits me from ovulating. It's something I'm working on right now with medication and will cross the family bridge with the doctor when it's time.

I'm looking at everything as "okay, will this benefit me in the future for my family." I am in the process of leasing a car soon and it was my first thought to make sure I had a family friendly and safe car.

A lot of people I know are pregnant which makes things worse for me. I want to enjoy the excitement with them. I get a thrill and kick for them though.

DH is older than I am and while he does want to start a family, he's hesitant. He's scared and nervous that he may not be able to provide for a family just yet.

I'm out for November and bored, so just curious, how does baby fever affect you? Do you have actual BABY fever or family fever? How long has you had "baby fever"?

My answer: I've been the hesitant one in our relationship. I love the idea of seeing hubs with our child and know he would be a great dad, but wasn't ready to grow up and let go of freedoms. When I turned 27 a few months ago, I started to really feel impact that I was now in my late twenties and started thinking hard about things. Suddenly I realized that I dont have any huge goals left thay i would be disappointed to not complete before starting a family. What I have toddler fever - i drool over adorable pictures and stories about toddlers on lifestyle blogs. I can't wait to have a mini-me or mini-hubs. I have never been a baby person, so even though I will adore my baby, really don't have desire to hold and dote on other people's babies And seeing them doesn't kick fever into high drive. Daddies with their 2 year old girls is another story :)
