R is a bottomless pit....until dinner. He does not typically eat a big dinner (but eats a big snack around 3:30/4).

Today he's had:

1/2 banana
1 hashed brown patty
1 slice bacon
1 yoplait yogurt
1/4 bagel

And it's only 9:45

My guy is on the small end (we made it back to the 1 percentile!), but he also majorly fluctuates in what he eats. Some days he demolishes 3 little bowls of soy yogurt in a sitting, or eats a whole pack of peanut butter cracker sandwiches for a snack. Other days he'll just nibble on animal crackers and an apple and be done.

I have a collection of snacks in his reach on a cart that he can grab and bring to me to open. Some days he'll be 'done' with his meal, but grab a couple snacks from there 20 minutes later. Not sure if that is bad this early, but at least I know when he is hungry!

Some days are great and some days it's just carbs/applesauce/yogurt. At the Dr. they said look at their food intake over a 2 week period since it's so up and down.

Breakfast: milk, grapes & strawberries, 1 whole grain frozen waffle, small yogurt
Snack: cheerios/crackers, apple
Lunch: peanut butter on whole wheat, apple/spinach puree
Dinner: rigatoni with meat sauce, grapes

Lately K hasn't been eating very much for lunch, I'm not sure what's going on there. But this is what she ate yesterday.

B: a mini bagel
L: a few bites of hummus, most of a fruit cup, about half of the veggies I packed. Plus they have to other snacks at daycare.
D: two small bowls of chilli and a Handful of gokdfish

E tends to not eat a big dinner, but eats ginormous breakfasts. Like, 2-3 pancakes and 3 sausages, plus a handful of berries and milk. Then an average-sized mid-morning snack and lunch. She's usually starving by afternoon snack, but it's a balance. I find on the days she eats a large snack, she barely touches dinner. If I can distract her enough to only have a small/normal snack, she'll eat a bit more. No matter what, she's *always* up for dessert! :)

Same as you! Her appetite varies... I usually just do a "week in review" and I'm usually pretty satisfied with how much she's eating on a weekly basis.

She is not a huge breakfast eater during the week, probably b/c we're more busy getting ready for work/daycare etc. I find that on the weekends when we get "special" breakfasts and take our time, she eats way more.

She always eats all her lunch at school; and on the weekends if she isn't eating much lunch, it's mostly b/c we're pushing it too close to nap and she's tired. Dinner is the one that probably varies the most... But even if she doesn't finish her dinner, she will always eat ALL the fruit, and always chugs milk before bed.

DD is 22 months and is the same - some days I feel like she eats nothing and others she eats as much as DH! Yesterday was a big eating day and she had:

Breakfast: Two scrambled eggs with mushrooms and onions mixed in. Three strawberries.
Lunch: Almost a cup of beef stew - beef, potatoes, celery, carrots, onion. Two cherry tomatoes, a babybel cheese, and 1/4 cup of peas on the side.
Dinner: Grilled cheese sandwich, 1/2 cup of yogurt topped with strawberries, and a veggie pouch. And a few french fries from my plate - we were out.

She also had milk with all meals and water throughout the day.

C is a bottomless pit.
Yesterday she ate
Breakfast: two scrambled eggs, five breakfast sausage, one piece of toast, 8-10 oz of milk
Lunch: fifteen grapes, five baby carrots, a pbj (two pieces of bread less the crust), and half an apple
Snack: 3oz yogurt and a granola bar
Second snack : bunch of French fries
Dinner: leftover a thanksgiving. Small bit of turkey, good amount of mashed potatoes, little bit of squash, lots of stuffing. Her plate was full and she ate about 70%.
Dessert: grown up size piece of pumpkin pie with whipped cream

I do not understand how she's not obese.

That's a great day of eating! DD is the same (21 months old) - some days she'll eats loads (more snacks these days than meals 🙄) and others she won't eat much at all. I have a really hard time getting DD to eat meat and she really prefers snacks to actual put together meals. It's a work in progress, ideas welcome!

Here's a typical day for her:
Breakfast: breakfast sausage, cereal bar (or mini pancake) and a banana - usually her best meal of the day by far!
Snack: apple sauce or mini peanut butter crackers
Lunch: PB/J half sandwich on whole wheat which is hit or miss and tomatoes or cucumber and fruit maybe some cheese slices
Snack:yobaby yogurt
Dinner: ground turkey/beans and a side veggie maybe green beans or peas and some fruit

DD will go days with eating not much, but then days where I swear she eats more than me....lol
I know totally normal but just curious what other kiddos are eating and about how much?!

Yesterday I feel was a huge growth spurt eating day:
Breakfast: Yo baby yogurt 3 mini pancakes
Snack: A whole 🍎 apple
Lunch: Turkey and cheese sandwich ( 1 piece of bread with 1/2 slice of turkey and cheese)
She asked for another one so this would equal a regular sandwich
2 peanut butter crackers and a carrot stick
Dinner: Chicken and rice which DH said she ate literally a whole chicken breast and about 4-5 broccoli florets
Then before bath asked and ate a whole 🍌 banana
