The one thing I wasn't expecting was how long I'd be in the hospital. I thought maybe 1 or 2 days, but my baby was born on a Tuesday night, and we didn't go home until Friday night. (Natural birth, no complications). I had foolishly packed like 6 diapers and 2 outfits for the baby. Had to send DH home to get a full pack of diapers and several outfits (boy peed on his top almost every time I changed him until I got smart about that). They had side snap onsies available for us if we wanted them, but we just had her in the blanket the whole time.
