Now we have an hour between dinner and bath time , and we do puzzles, read booksmore or color. Dd is wild until it's finally time for stories and bed. I'm going to start this dimming light thing. Usually we are playing downstairs and I have to tell her we will play for 1 more minute then go upstairs and get ready for bed. She then runs around like a maniac upstairs while I try to wrangle her into her pajamas and brush teeth. Lol We turn the lights down and all devices off. Bath time, jammies, and then we curl up in our bed and read books and cuddle. Then we attempt to put him to bed which takes over an hour and a lot of fighting. Wind down time for us starts a little bit after dinner is cleaned up. We usually have about another half hour give or take of play and then we close blinds, turn down bigger lights, do a snack, brush teeth and then read. Sometimes we will go into our bed as a family and watch a show. This isn't exactly how it works out every night, but we try and keep it pretty close to this routine.
