@travelgirl1: hmmmm not sure what to say. Maybe that's just one of her "quirks"? (DD has a lot of them...) Hopefully she'll just grow out of it

@BabyBoecksMom: At bedtime it's around the 30-minute mark. So frustrating. It doesn't matter whether she's asleep on me or in the crib, it gets the same reaction, like she's just so upset to be awake or so annoyed it's bedtime? Either way because it happens on me or in the crib and whether I nurse her down or not, I don't think it's the shock factor of being in the crib because she doesn't have to be in it for it to happen.

@skibobrown: I don't think so because it happens when she's upright on me sleeping too. It's a mystery!

My LO's a shrieker. It's loud and forceful and sometimes she'll choke a bit if she gets too worked up.

@travelgirl1: does she always wake up after 30 min of going to bed?

A hardly ever cries during the day. She's so happy, she doesn't seem to fuss at all.

But at bedtime, OMG! She goes to sleep fairly easily at about 6-6.30pm and sleeps for about 30 mins but then wakes up INCONSOLABLE! It doesn't matter if she wakes up in her crib, or wakes up on me, she cries her heart out at this point. It's unlike any of her other cries. The best way I can describe it is "rah, rah, rah" constantly. It makes her choke sometimes it's so hard. I hold her and let her cry, I've found if I soothe her too much it just prolongs the agony in the end. She does it whether she's fed or not so I don't think it's reflux.

I wondered what your babies sounded like when they're fighting sleep? Is it just their normal cry or do they amp it up a bit?
